‘FRIENDS for Life’ is an evidence-based anxiety prevention and resilience building programme. The 10 session programme complements the SPHE curriculum. It helps students, aged 8-12 years, to develop resilience by teaching effective strategies to cope with the normal everyday challenges, including worry, stress, change and anxiety.
More information on the programme can be found on: www.friendsresilience.org.
Who should attend?
Class teachers, special education teachers, principals, will all benefit from attending training. Schools should, as far as possible, facilitate two teachers attending training, particularly if the programme is new to the school.
This training will be hosted via Zoom. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. See dates below 3pm-5:30pm
