Droichead Post Primary Cluster Meetings
NQTs who are undertaking Droichead as a route to induction must attend one Cluster Meeting (2hour duration) per term while undertaking the process. Droichead Cluster Meetings will take place during a two-week period in each term.
Cluster Meetings may only be attended by NQTs who have submitted a DR-1 Form on www.teachingcouncil.ie
DR-1 Forms must be submitted by NQTs within 5 working days of commencement of the Droichead process.
At the end of the process, Form D is now to be sent to the Teaching Council and not to Limerick Education Centre as before.
All NQT's must attend Cluster Meeting 1 before attending Cluster 2/3.
In addition to this, NQTs who are engaging in the Droichead process should also engage in one other professional learning activity. This may include attendance at an NIPT workshop.
NQTs must register with the Education Centre to attend a cluster meeting. At cluster meetings, NQTs will present Form D to be stamped by the facilitator as proof of attendance. Form D is available at www.teachingcouncil.ie.
Please bring this form with you when attending the cluster meetings.
Please note that sign-in will close 10 minutes after the cluster meeting begins. NQTs who arrive late are welcome to stay for the meeting but are unlikely to be credited with attendance.
