Dublin West Education Centre in collaboration with Professional Development Service for Teachers (PDST) continue to support communities of learners among primary teachers. The purpose of TPCc is to “enable the collective development of new knowledge, skills and competencies, new resources and new shared identities and motivation to work together for change” (Fullan).
A TPC may be constructed by a group of teachers who share an interest in a particular curricular area or may share a common challenge, for instance infant teachers, language support teachers, teachers in multi-classes etc.
