The Amgen Biotech Experience (ABE) Ireland is an innovative science education programme that introduces secondary school students to the excitement of scientific discovery. Each year training workshops are held for secondary school teachers in curriculum-aligned labs that cover micropipetting, gel electrophoresis, DNA digestion and DNA ligation. Once training has been completed, teachers have access to professional grade scientific equipment and curriculum-linked teaching materials to facilitate the teaching of laboratory practicals in their own classroom, completely free of charge.
These workshops will be held from 10am-3pm in the following locations:
UCD – 9th September 2023
Monaghan Education Centre – 13th September 2023
Drumcondra Education Centre – 16th September 2023
Laois Education Centre – 18th September 2023
